Step 01

Proofmode needs:

Camera access

To make original Captures.

Location access

While using the app, to record Capture location evidence.

Network access

To publish Attestations and upload media.

For detailed instructions on setting up Proofmode, refer to the Proofmode guide.

Step 02

Find a Garden

Refer to the event map for the current boundaries of each Garden Submission Area

Stay on permitted paths, follow posted campus and Garden guidance, avoid damaging plants, and respect other campus users.

Privacy

Before you Capture or confirm a Submission: precise Capture coordinates, Wallet address, Proofset metadata, and IPFS media is publicly exposed. See the canonical field list on Privacy.

Step 03

Capture

Travel to a Garden Submission Area during October 9th - November 8th, 2026 and use Proofmode’s in-app camera to capture a photo.

You may photograph plants, landscapes, distinctive features, or other subjects that meaningfully relate to the Garden. Be respectful of the landscape, campus users, and site-specific guidance.

Avoid identifiable people and sensitive or private situations. Read the media and storage policy before you Capture.

Step 04

Confirm the Submission

Confirm that the captured photo appears in the Proofmode gallery with C2PA signature badge. Once an upload cloud and on-chain attestation badge appears on the capture to confirm if the capture was submitted and ready to be reviewed. An Attestation without retrievable media is not an eligible Submission.

Step 05

View on the Public submission map

A Submission in Needs review may appear without media. After approval, the Public submission map may display it as an Observation, including media and Proofset-derived details. Rejected Submissions are not displayed.
